There are many benefits for being out in the sun: converts cholestrol to Vitemen D, raises red and white blood count, heals injuries on skin, releases toxins by perspiraton. We will learn when it is safe and not safe to be in the sun. Using tannings beds in rainy or winter weather can be safe if you use UVA beds according to Dr. Urbach from the photo-biology department at Temple University. At least 15 minutes a day is a good start exposing your hands and face, however block may be necessary for longer periods in the summer or tropical areas.
